Designers reviewing the LOXONE app energy screens

Smart home · LOXONE · 2025 – 2026

Loxone App v17

Started with a brand style alignment, then kept shipping instead of a one-off redesign: light mode, a neutral theme, room climate in one flow, an ambient mode for the wall, and new functions improved release after release.

LOXONE Touch Pure Display on a living room wall

Smart home · LOXONE · 2026

Touch Pure Display

Every interaction gets signed off at the top, so we built working prototypes leadership can try on real hardware. Decisions made on real behaviour, not on slides.

KTM premium TFT dashboard

Mobility · KTM · 2022 – 2025

Premium Dashboard

Cut content until every screen reads at a glance, and pushed for extensive rider testing. Some animations had to go to keep the hardware smooth. Eye-tracking studies, 100+ riders in validation, UX Design Award 2026.

Husqvarna Norden 901 rider display and phone

Mobility · Husqvarna · 2022

Norden 901 showbike

If every rider mounts their phone, better make use of it: a concept that visually connects dashboard and phone. The hard call: the circular layout made the rev counter sweep against the usual direction. Not ideal for a quick read, but we accepted it to keep the concept whole.

How I lead

one team.
one quality bar.

01

build the team

UX, UI, motion, development and interns in one team. I push to have all crafts in one place.

02

grow people

Designers on my team have grown from interns to senior designers. Real ownership early is the key.

03

set the path

Agile rhythm on every project: kickoff with the project manager, ad hoc progress checks, formal stakeholder sign-off, and one presentation standard.

04

lead the client relationship

Regular work with heads of development and vice presidents, and presentations to board and chief executive level.

Experience

10 years.
5 studios. one focus.

Principles

how I think
about interfaces.

Rule 1

built for the glance

A rider gets half a second. The best tool is the one you barely pay attention to: less content, more testing, and honest limits set by the hardware.

Rule 2

real life connection

If the curtain is horizontal, its icon goes sideways. If you turn a wheel, it rotates in the UI. Simple to say, hard to nail, but the quickest way to make a screen feel intuitive.

Rule 3

brand it

Colour and typeface are the easy part. A brand shows in what comes first, how much you show at once, and how much complexity you allow.
